Florida Senator Marco Rubio had a pithy tweet for Politico, who argued in a piece Sunday that Rubio has been tweeting the Republican part of the Bible.

IMHO, the entire Bible is (small r) republican. YMMV.
THAT is the Left’s problem: taken out their favorite sections and ignoring or destroying the rest. God’s Word DOES NOT need editors. How arrogant of the crowd that took God out of their political platform.
The only Democrat areas of the Bible is the giving money away to the poor part and the verse about not judging which the Left takes entirely out of context.
They are really stupid.
OK, Politico — show us where another part of the Bible tells us to forget about the Book of Proverbs.
> The only Democrat areas of the Bible is the giving money
> away to the poor part
The Bible says to give YOUR OWN money, not someone else’s that was taken by threat of violence.
> and the verse about not judging which
> the Left takes entirely out of context.
Indeed, because they gloss over the part where Jesus says not to judge hypocritically, but to judge RIGHTEOUS judgement.
Rubio will vote for another amnesty.
the democrat in the Bible.............
Romans 1 verses 21-32
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.
22 Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools,
23 And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.
24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:
25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;
29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,
30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,
31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:
32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.
The following is for Republicans and Democrats:
"All have sinned and come short of the glory God; being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (Romans 3:23-24)
They have no idea of the Bible anymore than they do of the Koran. They just hate one side (Christians). Their god is liberalism and their bibles are the Red Book,Communist Manifesto and Rules for Radicals.
only to those who repent of their sins and follow Christ....do any of the promises of redemption apply.
to the others.......read Romans 1 again.
Poor lost souls. There is only the TRUTH.
If you continue reading in Romans 3 you will see that only faith is necessary for salvation, not "repenting of/from sins". That is a misunderstanding of "repent". The object "of sins" (for metanao/repent is never present is the salvific forumula. That is added by editors or by translators pushing another gospel (NLT).
Let me continue with Romans 3:
25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. (Romans 3:25-26)
"faith in his blood", and "the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." No mention of "repentance of sins".
The bible does not contradict itself. The omission of "repentence of sin" as a condition for salvation is not a mistake or an inconsistency. Repentance is a "change of mind", away from trusting in ones own works to save him (i.e. turning from sin) and instead trusting in the finished work of Jesus Christ, and thus entering into his rest and ... salvation.
Scripture speaks for itself....
The bible does not contradict itself.......
Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
Acts 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Acts 17:30 And the times of this ignorance God winked at; but now commandeth all men every where to repent:
2 Timothy 2:25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
Loud and clear. Here in Luke and in all the verses you list NOWHERE does it say repent OF SINS.
The verb repent and noun repentance have no following preposition phrase (of "sins"). Repent/repentance speaks of a change of heart/mind -- a "coming to one's senses" as Erasmus translated (resipiscere) in his new Latin translation of his Greek text.
Indeed!
2Tim 3:7 also comes to mind.
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Are you saying repentance is not required for salvation?
You are stuck in thinking that "repentance" == "turning from sin". It does not. The thing we cannot do (turn from sin) cannot be made a precondition for salvation. We have a sin problem. We are unable to turn from sin.
In the Bible (or rather in the accurate translations) the verb repent and noun repentance have no following prepositional phrase ("of sins"). That is added.
Repent/repentance speak of a change of heart/mind -- a "coming to one's senses" as Erasmus translated (resipiscere) in his new Latin translation of his Greek text.
Let me illustrate the meaning of "repent": To those who believe it means "turn from sin", I would tell them they need to "repent". Get it?
