Attacks on civilians in the Efrîn Canton and Shehba region by the invading Turkish state and their allied gangs continue. The Turkish state bombed Merenaz and Villa Qadi villages in Efrîn’s Shera district with tanks and Howitzers last night at 23:00. YPG and YPJ fighters retaliated immediately.

The gang groups under Turkish state control attacked Merenaze at the same time with DSHKs and heavy weapons. In Elqamiye region the Turkish state’s scout planes carried out 4 bombings.

In the Sherawa district, Turkish state allied gangs attacked Bircike, Sileman and Gire Barin villages with mortars.

On Martyr Zilan hill in the Cinderes district, there was an armed attack.

Attacks by invading Turkish army’s gangs on villages in the Shehba region are also on the rise. The gangs bombed Til Mediq, Hirbil and Şêx Isa towns last night.

G20 just ended.

Erdogan was most unhappy with proceedings.

So now he is back to his disruption of efforts to eliminate ISIS in Raqqa.

It is clear that the "air attacks" are Turkish regular forces. Probably the Howitzer units too, this is close to the Turkish border.

The area that Turkey attacks has 500,000 refugees in it.

Lets not forget about the 2 million who gathered under the banner of "Justice" in Istanbul yesterday. Evidently Erdogan chose to ignore it.

How do you ignore this?

“How do you ignore this?”

Practically everything Erdogan has done is for consolidation of power. He wants a secure base that he can plunder and the Syrian oil fields must be high on the list. He wants ethnic Turkmen to occupy and thus control by proxy a state he plans to carve out of Syria, again, because of the money it means. He apparently feels he can ignore ethnic tensions inside Turkey but three or so of the ethnic tribes that make up Turkey feel trodden upon. This is a recipe for civil war. But every move Erdogan has made with the military and his internal politics has been to ensure his control over the military, which he obviously feels he has.

All that is really required to topple Erdogan’s government is some foreign intervention with, say, the supply of weapons to insurgents. That is already happening to a degree as it is likely that weapons supplied to the Kurds for them to fight inside Syria are likely making it into Turkey.

Erdogan is a high stakes gambler who has won a lot. He is not inclined to stop while he is winning and would, likely, ride his hand down to ruin. That seems to be the way of leaders like him. They never stop until they are deposed or killed.

Yes.

Except he seems to be ignoring the Kemalists. Yesterday was NOT business as usual. 2 million people gathering anywhere is an “event”.

I saw the result of that size gatherings in Egypt.

If Kemalists and Kurds every partnered (unheard of thought) AKP is dead. Yesterday was not totally Kemalist, but they were spokesmen. (Probably only group that does not feel directly threatened by Erdogan.

There is an interesting, and I think applicable view from statistical quality control. If you take a sample from population and find x percent defective you can calculate how many in the total population are defective. If two million protesters are viewed as a sample and they are anti Ergodan then that implies that a huge number of the unsmpled population share the same views. (Yes, I am abusing the math, but the idea is, the problem for Erodagan is potentially huge. I give them a max of five years and they go the way of Egypt.)
