Donald Trump has promised to sign a trade deal with Britain "very very quickly" as he told Theresa May: "There is no country that could possibly be closer than our countries."
The US President said he had developed a "very special relationship" with Mrs May as the two leaders sat down for a one-on-one meeting at the G20 summit in Hamburg this morning.

He also told Mrs May he had "a tremendous meeting" with President Vladimir Putin of Russia on Friday, which lasted for two and a quarter hours.
The President's comments are a huge boost for Mrs May, and come a day after China's President Xi Jinping made hugely positive comments about Brexit. It means Mrs May can leave Hamburg later today having made progress on trade with the leaders of the world's two biggest economies.....
Mr Trump said: "We will do a very big deal, a very powerful deal. Trade will be a big factor between our two countries."

This is great for those that want the Brexit.
It will surely upset the E.U.
Go President Trump!!!
The post industrial globalist off shored UK is pretty hollowed out. I wonder what the Brits manufacture that we want to import? Gin?
The top exports of the United Kingdom are Gold ($41.6B), Cars ($40.8B), Packaged Medicaments ($19.9B), Gas Turbines ($14.7B) and Refined Petroleum ($13.2B),
is that steam from water on the brain ???
They have to come up with a deal to sign first, don’t they? And don’t they have to wait until the exit from the EU becomes final?
“They have to come up with a deal to sign first, dont they? And dont they have to wait until the exit from the EU becomes final?”
Yes, they can’t do a trade deal until the UK has actually left. It won’t be “very very quickly”
Bigly. Love it. Love Trump.
NO. Obama is a heavy smoker.
Pretty sure it won’t be Dinky Toys, or Bromoil brushes.
Besides Kate, what could they have that we would want?
Hope he hinges it on getting Charlie Gard the help he needs.
This one (see pic) will be takin’the gas on this one.
MAGA
Or, the signing of a trade deal effectively voids the EU shackles.
No reason a deal can’t be signed.....effective....
This is welcome news.
Looking at the bigger picture, it seems to me this newfound alliance will facilitate a smooth and virtually risk-free Brexit (economically speaking).
Is this the beginnings of Reagan-Thatcher part II?
Ping! :)
