Trump dives into election hacking issue with Putin: ‘Very robust and lengthy exchange’
Washington Times ^ | July 7, 2017 | By S.A. Miller

President Trump brought up Russia’s interference in the U.S. election at the start of his first face-to-face meeting Friday with Russian President Vladimir Putin, sparking “a very robust and lengthy exchange” at the G-20 Summit, Secretary of State Rex W. Tillerson said.

“The president pressed President Putin on more than one occasion regarding Russian involvement. President Putin denied such involvement,” said Mr. Tillerson, who attended the highly anticipated meeting on the sidelines of the Group of 20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany.

Mr. Tillerson provided a readout of the meeting for reporters.

He said that despite Mr. Putin’s denial on interference, the Russia president agreed to work on a commitment for “noninterference” with U.S. affairs and to pursue larger agreements on cybersecurity issues.

Mr. Tillerson said there was a general agreement that the Russian interference issue “is a substantial hindrance to us to move the U.S.-Russia relationship forward and agreed to exchange further work regarding commitments of noninterference in affairs of United States and our democratic process as well as other countries.”

Russia’s interference in the 2016 presidential election and Democrats’ unsubstantiated allegations of Trump campaign collusion had overshadowed the meeting, which included other critical issues such as the Syria civil war and the disputed Russian annexation of Crimea.

And this is exactly why the President was downplaying the issue before the nattering nabobs of the press corps. Trump has said that he is not going to telegraph his punches, and he wasn’t about to give Putin and the Russians any clue in advance about how he was going handle this issue in the one and one discussion.

If only Putin had offered, in a spirit of cooperation, to give Pres Trump the information they have on who hacked our election. There would have been some Democrats fleeing to South America.

So now is a good time for Putin and the Russians to come clean and admit they were doing everything they could in 2016 to elect HRC and they won't do it again ever.

Trump: you interfering in our elections has made it difficult to work with you. Putin: we did not interfer however we can furnish proof to your CIA of who did. 😁

Kabuki from DJT.

All foreign intelligence agencies try to interfere in everyone’s elections. Our agencies try to counter it, and so it goes.

That’s the real reason Hussein ignored it. Happens all the time, some CI group in an alphabet agency is tasked with stopping it.

The Rat’s just made a big deal out of it this time because the Beast was suffering real political damage having her crimes and perfidy exposed.

Both Trump and Putin know this and are acting out for the dupes in the MSM. Meanwhile, real discussions are going on behind closed doors: how do we clobber the Muslims?

Frankly, I don’t think the Russians did a damn thing more than they have ever done. The whole kit and caboodle is the brainchild of the Dems, sore that they lost!

Hussein believed Hillary would win. He ignored Russian activities (1) because we do the same - look what Obama did in Israel to mess with their election and (2) it would have lent credence to Trump’s claim that he may not accept the election results. Obama had to say this was crazy conspiracy theory talk with nothing to it so he could ridicule Trump. Of course, Dems sang a different tune after Trump won.

Trump can also come back and say “our FBI needs to examine the servers and we need independent verification of any hacking of the DNC or John Podesta.” Both of those will refuse to hand over anything (criminals that they are) and then it’ll be their fault for the investigation going nowhere.

My favorite lie of this vast conspiracy theory were the “17 agencies that all agree” about the hacking. There were 3 people that worked for Comey that agreed. CrowdStrike - funded by the pro-Hillary google folks - was the only company to examine the servers.

Far more likely, Seth Rich was the insider leaker of the DNC. Seth had posted that he would fight Hillary all the way to the convention. They overplayed it saying Seth had taken a job with her campaign the day he was murdered. Seth was the leaker and he was killed because of it.

Exactly. A succinct description. Well said.

Yes, that's the way rational people all see it and I agree with you.

Point of my post was that the Dems (the media) imply that the Russian involvement was to aid Trump only. So now the tables could be set upright again by Putin confessing the Russians were working against Trump, are very sorry, and promise not to do anything stupid like interfere in our elections with Russian support for the Dems again.

"The president pressed President Putin on more than one occasion regarding Russian involvement."

CNN, MSNBC, ABC, NBC, CBS, NY TIMES, WASH POST in 3..2..1.
BREAKING: Trump and Putin are brilliant. They conducted super scooby-do top secret collusion behind closed doors and then Trump brings it up in their discussion as if to give the impression he was innocent of such collusion. Trump may be a racist, sexist, homo and muslim phobe, but he certainly knows the Art of His Deal. We need more stringent investigations so we can impeach Trump.

BREAKING: Retraction: That issue is over due to lack of any evidence. Our bad. However, Congressthing Maxine Waters says impeach Trump for firing one of his incompetent employees that was despised by the FBI rank and file. If not that, maybe impeach him because Melania didn't hold his hand. That could be evidence of her questioning Donald's mental capacity and invoke the 25th Amendment. Our top political investigators are working on it. Oops, RETRACTION: We had to fire them.

That’s a two-way street. America has meddled in other countries’ internal affairs for decades, openly financing parties and campaigning on behalf of candidates to serve its interests.

Now its outraged its being treated that way and it has still to present proof the election was tampered with to benefit Russia.

We can do more to protect ourselves but before we point the finger at others, we should be sure we have secured our own election machinery from any kind of interference.

Nor do I. I think they were playing around the edges, like they always do and we do and everybody else does. But I don't for one minute believe they hacked the DNC or John Podesta's email account. I don't know who phished Podesta but I sincerely believe that Seth Rich gave Wikileaks the DNC dirt and that he payed for that with his life.

Yes, but Obama's meddling in others' affairs was never in America's true interests. Obama was never more than The Accidental American.

I am being charitable in overlooking his deep hatred of all things American, which was actually very clear in his whole pattern of behavior and associations.

I am sure Trump can spot when he is being lied to even if it is a skilled former KGB head

So I am sure he knows what the truth is either way

Putin should offer as much evidence as he can as to the Uranium One deal, Podesta’s stock ownership, Bill Clinton speeches and Hillary’s payouts for favors while SoS and the Clinton Foundation. Throw in any payments to people like John McCain would be a bonus.
