You do need to explain what they doctored, what changed, and what the original subject of the original video was. Just a utube video link tells the next reader nothing useful.
This is what compulsive liars do. They tell lies when it’s not even necessary or effective. This is what most Hillary voters do in their minds to justify all their hatred toward conservatives.
If CNN has anything to do with it, I avoid it completely.

Anyway I watched... “doctored” to me connotes editing. They didn’t edit.
They shortened the vid to not show when PDJT did shake hands with her. They stopped the vid before that and then ended it in order to make people think it was a snub.

Originally, while Duda and Trump were shaking hands., the spouses greeted each other. The edited clip shows an apparent snub by Ms. Duda to DJT when the unedited version shows the contrary.
they took the three seconds where ms duda passed trump to shake melania’s hand, and reported she dissed him... when in fact, she shook his hand after melania’s... there was an awkward moment on trump’s part, but not as awkward as cnn will feel when this hits the fan.
Anyone know why it seems to be the channel of choice at airports? Did they buy their way in? Does someone think they are like the NYT and are the video news reporters of record? It only takes about 5 seconds of it to see where they’re headed with their continued spiral into oblivion.

This is actually sometimes my MO. I will give partial or “technically accurate” information knowing full well that the listener will assume I presented “X” when I really presented “Y”.
It is a form of lying, kinda like lies of omission are.
A stupid example: My wife knows that it is a pet peeve of mine that people say “I could care less” when they mean “I couldn’t care less”. So when I say to someone, “I could care less”, they interpret it to mean, “I couldn’t care less”, but I really mean that I care. But because I KNOW they are going to missinterpret it I am, in fact, lying.
i.e. with that video, CNN was lying. Pure and simple.
I agree with Robert A. Cooke. This is an opportunity to practice writing and editing skill by explaining, in your post, what folks will see, e.g. that despite the editing and misrepresentation by CNN that the Polish PMs wife snubbed Trump, she shook his hand.
That is standard protocol.
Assume that the couples are meeting each other. The men shake hands and the women shake hands. Then they switch.
I think what confused the media is that it was a “gender biased” protocol.

Yes, I saw it several times last night, and - more importantly - the commentary behind video, what actually happened, the Polish president’s Twitter response, and the responses to those comments. I did not need to see the original again, did not want to lose time watching a repeat of a story I already knew the background about.
