To hear President Trump tell it, there's still a lot of uncertainty as to whether or not Russia interfered in the 2016 U.S. elections.
"Well, I think it was Russia, and I think it could have been other people in other countries. Could have been a lot of people interfered," Trump said Thursday during a news conference in Poland, ahead of an international economic gathering in Germany. He went on to try to place blame to former President Barack Obama for not doing enough to stop any cyberattack.
"Nobody really knows for sure," Trump continued, straddling a line before his Friday meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, whom he's repeatedly praised. "I remember when I was sitting back listening about Iraq weapons of mass destruction how everybody was 100 percent sure that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction. Guess what? That led to one big mess. They were wrong."

Russia DID try to influence the election but they did so to help HILLARY get elected, not Trump.
The people whom you have evidence of illegality on are the ones that you TRY to get elected. For example, China-Clinton. The Trump-Russian narrative doesnt support this.
None of the deleted or damaging Hillary emails besides DNC or Podesta ones have surfaced suggesting people that have them like the FBI or enemies want to leverage them.
Didnt she delete over 30,000 of them? I am going out on a limb her but I think Russia HAS these deleted emails. If they were trying to damage her, why didnt they leak them? Russia like almost everyone else expected Hillary to win which would put them in the catbird seat.
But think of other Russian interests.
They would like us to remove tactical nukes from Europe.
They would like us to let the military deteriorate.
They would like us to NOT develop our energy resources. A drop in oil price would have a massive impact on Russia economically.
They would not want us to build up our military intelligence.
They would not want us to develop our military technology.
They would not want us to be secure from terrorist attacks.
On each and every one of these issues, the candidate the Russians would NOT want to get elected would be Donald Trump.
I think most people who believe this story was falsified by a politicized intel community instinctively know this, but I think it is worthwhile to state it unequivocally.
It might help to look at the server. Just sayin’.
The CIA said they missed ....ISIS in Iraq. It was about two years until they acknowledged their crap CIA info.
Hey, I have an idea — maybe it was Seth Rich?
And you know what whiz kids our intel chiefs are. They only missed the collapse of the Soviet Union, the first Muslim attack on the World Trade Center in 1993, the multiple attacks on 9/’11, the emergence of ISIS and deadly terror attacks we have suffered since.
No doubt these hold overs from the reign of King Barrack I will faithfully advise President Trump as he tries to drain their swamp>sarcasm
JV. They weren't on the schedule.
Trump makes sense. He said more nations than Russia tried to interfere. With wide open illegal servers, phishing dunces, and leaking sstaff, why would only Russia be interested in that?
Personally, I think every other nation on earth with any kind of presence at all was in this country putting their hand on the scale every chance they got. Even our friends. It’s what nations do.
Maybe THAT would convince him.
President Trump should demand that Russia return any Uranium it bought from Hillary Rosenberg Clinton and demand she return the money Russia paid “Foundation”.
I am not convinced the DNC computer was ever hacked by anyone. Only Hilarys staff claimed it was so. They refused to allow the FBI to investigate the claim and turned it over to another, a Hilary supporter company who only found thin evidence. There is strong evidence this is just another Democratic hoax.

There is more proof that it was US intelligence agencies that were hacking the “election” than there is of Russian involvement.
The “agencies” are three Obama appointees now in retirement. And their circle.
No one is interested in her server that we are assured wasn’t hacked, but then told it was hacked, but by Russians... but trust us, it was perfectly secure. But no, we can’t see the server. Take our word for it. It was secure, but the Russians hacked it. But it was secure.
No one is interested in Pakistani IT geeks rooting around in DNC and government computers.
No one is interested in dead DNC staffers upset about Bernie.
No, its Russia. But don’t look too closely at exactly who takes their money and actually does favors for them. While we’re at it, lets not look too closely at who is in bed with Saudis, Chinese, Ukrainians, Muslim Brotherhood, or Soros Incorporated.
Seeing how a lot of the intel community is actively trying to undermine a legally elected president, and some members of which are participating with fake news these days, I can see how he might be a bit skeptical.
Unless there is a statutory requirement to keep server logs and backups, I suspect that info is long gone.
I would rephrase that to:
Trump Is Less Convinced About Russian Hacking Than Obama's Intelligence Chiefs were.
Trump has access to the data. The new guys on the block are obviously giving him a less politically correct version of the hacking than Obama needed and received.
As far s I can tell the only way to know who hacked the DNC servers would be to actually go through the servers themselves. Seeing as the DNC Didn’t allow anyone to look at them I don’t see how any “intelligence” service could say definitely who did it .
I tend to agree with you, but Pompeo, Coats and Mike Rogers continually assert that the Russians really did hack the election. The only evidence offered to the public is the proverbial “Trust us, we are the professionals”. Coming from agencies which admit that they lie to Congress, break laws when they choose to and seem to miss warnings of every real danger to the the republic, I find it hard to believe them.
