GOP progressive purists to Ted Cruz: ANY repeal is too much repeal
Conservative Review ^ | 7/6/17 | Chrid Pandolfo

The United States Senate might as well get it over with and pass single-payer health care. Senate Republicans have made it clear that they do not support market-based reforms for health care, so what is the point of half-measured government intervention that by all measures will not work?

The last, best chance for market-oriented health care policy in the Senate health care bill is Texas Senator Ted Cruz’s Consumer Freedom Amendment. It’s a simple suggestion, really. Senator Cruz thinks health insurance companies should be allowed to offer a variety of options to consumers.

So what his amendment does, is permit states to permit insurance companies to sell insurance plans that are exempted from Obamacare regulations provided that these companies offer at least one plan that is fully compliant with the Obamacare regulations Republicans refuse to repeal.

Any failure to repeal is the same as doing nothing. And that’s how the GOP can drastically and dramatically lose control of the Senate, and very probably also the House.

Single payer healthcare and universal income.

Yippee.

So they think they have to come up with a deal to appease the moderates? Then they lost the TEA party guys...

The TEA party guys are THE ONES THAT WON YOU THE CONGRESDS AND THE PRESIDENCY.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Put together a deal that pleases THE TEA PARTY SIDE FIRST and let the moderates refuse to sign... then we know who to primary out of office.

Hope for a clean repeal is on life support.

Like most other things on the conservative wish list, if it didn’t happen in the first 6 months of the first year, very unlikely to happen at all.

This Congress is the most despicable in many a decade.

I could not agree more. So many, too many in the Senate and House think they are somehow better than the rest of society. The funny thing is, generally they are amongst the least impressive people on the planet.

It is hopeless.

Single-payer does not work, either.

Perhaps the whole range of enterprises that are involved in the delivery of health services should be dissolved, and we should return to shamans and witch doctors.

What?!!! Allow businesses to sell proud that people actually want to buy? Why, this is crazy talk.

I don’t know who sells “proud” but “products” are what you want.

Were any of those bills actually sent to Obama’s desk? Would the bill have expired by now? Could Trump sign one of the old passed bills?

When a new Congress takes office, as this one did in January of this year, all unsigned bills from the previous Congress expire.

The GOP, like the democrats, let the lobbyists write their bills for them so there is no way that they are going to end up with free market proposals.

Obamcare has extorted hundreds of millions (maybe billions) from taxpayers and handed it over to the medical care and insurance industries - the same people who wrote Obamacare and the same people who are writing the GOP proposals.

Until the senate and congress write their own bills there will be no significant changes in goernment socialized medical care.

At the bottom end you have medical welfare to the millions receiving subsidized medical insurance and care.

At the top end you have medical welfare to the wealthy corporations providing care and insurance.

And in the middle you have the small minority who still work for a living getting ripped off to pay for the handouts to everyone else.

Obamacare is essentially ‘single-payer’ already.

UNIPARTY!

It hardly matters, between any of them.

All incumbents need to be replaced with Trump supporters.
