Not at all. They're doing exactly what Luther preached.
They interpret the Bible on their own to suit themselves or throw out portions of it they don't want to have to accept. It's a case of Catholic clergy fully adopting the very attitudes and approaches Leo XIII warned against back in 1898.

Where in the Bible does it say that if you sin, you should blame somebody else for setting you up? That’s what Adam did, right? He blamed Eve. Do you take that as a positive example? I.e.: do you believe that if someone sins, they should use Adam as the role model, and identify somebody else/a convenient scapegoat as having set them up?
God sure did not blame Luther, why should you? Taking up for this bunch of perverts makes you one and the same... send them money, oh that is right, their emissaries are sticking it to ‘we the people’ via taxation... so I am now Catholic by ‘law’.
