Good speech, but...

“Chinese analysts continue to argue that no amount of pressure, short of what might cause a collapse, will bring North Korea to denuclearize,” Kovrig said.

“Beijing’s prescription is still to coax rather than to pressure. Unlike the U.S., it's not in a hurry and hopes that economic incentives can gradually induce Pyongyang to moderate its behavior.”

I would not have expected otherwise. That is why I said that Trump should have squeezed China early and hard. In addition to China's foot dragging, there are people inside Trump admin. who are not keen to apply full pressure on China. Tillerson and Ross are probably in that camp. There is a chance that scaled-down gradual pressure over long time would be what could eventually come out.

Too little to force China to rein on N. Korea in time, and not even effective in punishing China for other reasons than N. Korea.

It seems that Trump and Bannon are meeting roadblocks at every turn.

I watched her.

I was not impressed.

It was one of the weakest deliveries on behalf of the USA at the United Nations in a time of crisis that I have seen to-date. North Korea will not be in fear of this kind of weak, whining delivery. Where is an Adlai Stevenson (Cuban Missile Crisis) when we needed one. All, please review the video.

Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.Talk. Talk.

What channel were you watching!!???

WEAK!

Take another look objectively....no emotion....relying on notes, no feeling of threat.... zzzzzzzz

If this were an Obama appointee before the UN, we would all be mocking her.

Yeah, I am sure North Korea which is just down the road from me a few clicks, is really "scared" / sarc

The next day, Mattis pretty much Knock the wind out of sails by saying that there is no military option. There is no threat of go-it-alone military action toward Kim Jong-un.

Would it change? Possible, but why publicly take it out of available options?
