Gee, we never heard about this when Obumbles was our Exalted Leader and Chief Nincompoop. As soon as a Republican is elected, we hear about rampant homelessness and poverty .and Pres. Trump has only been in office 5 1/2 months.
Sure we did. Even the Blacks admitted he was a failure.
African-Americans Didn’t Do Well Under President Obama

And we already know, millions of whites lost their azzes, homes and everything else during the Obama era.
It’s not just Sec 8. Here in my northern Virginia suburb, there are a lot of illegals and refugees, thanks to the local churches that think we need more social and economic diversity.
I believe it.
Of course the rich don’t have big issues with paying property taxes. The one’s who really get economically gang banged are Middle America.
Think about this, what people are paying in property taxes now, equal what many were paying in mortgage payments 25 or 30 years ago. It’s insane.
55 years ago, a couple could buy a brand new home, on one income and qualify!!! Today, what these working couples pay in three or four months of mortgage payments, equal the total price, in full, paid off, for that same home 55 years ago.
This is nuts.
Actually I have read reports of poverty in the suburbs for years.
I had a look at the preview of the book, at Amazon.com.
In the preview if Chapter One, this statement about suburban Chicago jumped out at me:
“nearly all communities in this suburban ring are grappling with how to best serve the immigrant youth from low-income households who increasingly populate their elementary and high school classrooms.”
So it does seem the book recognized immigration as a source of suburban poverty. I am intrigued enough that I have reserved the book through my local (suburban) library.
Yes...here are just a few articles I found on 0blama’s transfer of inner city folks, to the ‘burbs....
Obama Using Federal Funds to Push Urban Poor into Middle-Class Suburbs
Obamas last act is to force suburbs to be less white and less wealthy

People buying houses they couldn’t afford??
You’re right about the churches assisting in this ‘transfer’. Texas had its own share of so-called Catholic and Baptist groups who assisted in TRANSPORTING and housing the Central American MALES that 0blama sent up to our Southern border.
I wasn’t talking about them living here. They don’t. They come to good neighborhoods to steal. We have the good stuff and are a nice, normal neighborhood where everyone goes to bed early so there’s no one around to see them.
Yeah, mission accomplished! Supreme Leader must be SO proud, but of course it’s not enough. It’s never enough.
Yep...agree with your personal situation, as well. They ‘travel’ to the nicer neighborhoods, because of the reasons your police friend described.
That could be one way.
Or they lost their job
Or they rent in the suburbs.
The suburbs are not what they once were.
Don't know where you live, but how about people out west, where there are millions who were born raised, educated in towns where they can't even afford to buy a home and raise a family now? They were priced right out of their own homeland. I know all about market forces etc, but from my perspective, this is just foul/wrong.
Arm yourself
Those property taxes are preventing people from buying homes here in NJ; productive people are leaving the suburbs, and they are being replaced by anyone (including illegals) government can shoehorn into the vacant properties.
The headline can just as easily read “Why prosperity is leaving the suburbs”...
That is happening here in NJ as well; the danger is actually worse further from the cities because those of us living in the shadow of the city know the dangers and protect accordingly. Further out, people don’t understand they are just one stolen car ride away from the mutants.
Yes I do.
“Arm yourself”

Yep, did that. Need more target practice, though. Nearest range is owned by a woman, and they have xlnt self-defense classes. Expensive and booked up months in advance. Time to bite the bullet, as it were, and sign up. Gym workouts are necessary too, thank goodness I enjoy them..
Stay safe, my FRiend
Yes I do.
Amazing...
