...a first-of-its-kind missile that the U.S. had not seen before ...

Why? It’s not like something you can pickup at Walmart. I would hope our intelligence services are better than that.

It’s funny the corner that the Nork dictator has put himself into here.

See, if North Korea has an ICBM and they threaten to use it then the US can justify attacking North Korea.

But let’s say the North only CLAIMS to have an ICBM but this President wants to end their threat before they get a real one...all he has to do is confirm that the North has an ICBM and then...checkmate.

Because they may not really have an ICBM. We’re just calling their bluff.

a first-of-its-kind missile that the U.S. had not seen before and represented a dangerous escalation

Why don’t they just ask Senators McCain and Schumer or Barry Soetero what the new capabilities of the missiles are they helped North Korea get.??

I grew up reading and hearing about the deeds of America's glorious past, but at a time when all that seemed to have ended. During my entire life--with the possible exception of the Mayaguez incdient--America has been dumped on and humiliated and defeated, with nothing compared to our record before I was born (hope it's not all my fault).

If Trump really wants to show he's a break from our recent history of getting shoved around, he will act as our ancestors did when they were threatened.

I don’t believe that a nation like NK could actually build an ICBM. They execute their own scientists and technicians for “failure”. As Stalin learned the threat of death doesn’t make people more productive. They may work harder but the constant fear leads to more failures not less.

These missiles are being built by foreign techs and most of the components built in other countries. This particular missile had to haven been designed and building started years ago. When Obozo wasPrez.

Can anyone say if the Navy recovers those NorK rockets that splash into the Sea of Japan?

How are the North Koreans creating these rockets?
Are the Chinese or Pakistani’s helping?

The NK problem exists because MacArthur was not permitted to do his job. Hairy Ass Truman was not so hot as a president.

I guess the question is; have they been shooting a lot of purposeful failures to make us think they are further behind than we believe? This one seems to have been a success and we can only conjecture its actual range/accuracy.

The Examiner article is propaganda. Fiction.

Why?

It states it was launched from a “mobile launcher” yet this was a liquid-fueled rocket.

Why the hyperbole? Why no analysis of Iranian missile technology? Why don’t the North Koreans have it? If they have it, why don’t they demonstrate it? Why are the media telegraphing inflammatory news about NK reaching Soviet 1950s-era rocket technology?
