The White House nominated Washington labor lawyer Eric Dreiband as an assistant attorney general to head the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division — a choice eliciting anger from liberal advocacy groups.
Organizations like the ACLU and the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, which is headed by Mr. Dreiband’s predecessor, questioned the lawyer’s experience, saying he has spent much of his career fighting for companies accused of discrimination rather than on behalf of those discriminated against.
Mr. Dreiband, a partner at Jones Day law firm, has specialized in representing businesses in litigation over employment discrimination, whistleblower claims, and wage and hour investigations. Before that, he served from 2003 to 2005 as the general counsel of the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, which enforces federal law to prevent employer discrimination against workers.
Vanita Gupta, who previously led the civil rights division under Attorney General Loretta Lynch, said Mr. Dreiband is the wrong person for the job and called him “woefully unqualified” for the position.

Being that the Commie Vanita Gupta is speaking out against the nomination of Eric Dreiband just shows President Trump picked exactly the right person.

Every thing Trump does gets the left’s panties in a wad. Maybe he just submit a list for their approval to save then all this angst.
Trump choice to lead _____________ draws ire of liberals. There, that should make the next headline easier. Just fill in the blank as needed.
Success at winning!! Hope their ire goes way, way beyond being drawn.
Their angst gives me some hope. It is a proven fact that angst (inner turmoil, anxiety, stress, etc.) shortens lives. By how much? Well, that is a crapshoot; but the clock is definitely ticking faster for them than it is for us. That's a plus, overall.
And the fact is, I truly enjoy watching them freak, and hearing them whine. It's all very entertaining.
Then it must be a good pick.
THat seems a silly argument to make when so many lawyers go from being prosecutors to defense lawyers, and vice versa, after having been stuck on one side for so long.
I think a person who has defended clients against EOC suits would be ideally suited to understand how to properly bring suits that would win, when necessary.
Civil Rights Division is one of the most corrupt. It filled with liberal racists.

If he treats hate crimes consistently with his other actions, there will be a LOT of Obama sons going to the cooler.
