SAN DIEGO (KGTV) - Angel Osuna and Loris Speltini are married but they'll be living apart starting Wednesday, now that the Border Patrol has returned Speltini to his native Italy.
The couple recently spent the day in Tijuana and were returning to San Diego when they were stopped at the border. Speltini was questioned and searched, then detained by the Border Patrol.
Osuna is a U.S. citizen and student at UC San Diego. He told 10News Speltini was working in the U.S. but his visa was invalid.
Osuna has not seen Speltini since the detainment and went to Lindbergh Field Wednesday, hoping to say goodbye. Osuna was too late; Speltini was put on an earlier flight.
The Border Patrol will ban Speltini from returning to the U.S. for three years, according to Osuna.
Money is also keeping the couple apart. Angel is a low-income student and was living in married student housing.

The dude had an invalid visa, so Buh-Bye.
LOL! Maybe the queer can move to Italy?
Anything and everything to show sympathy for the poor homos who are persecuted here in the US.
/barf and sarc
I’m sure they have both found a substitute receptacles by now . . . no biggie.
So the point of this article is what? That you can be deported if here illegally? Why did they decide to showcase husbands? Trying to normalize homosexual marriage but this time tying homosexual marriage to the illegal alien issue???
What the heck
Well, since there’s no such thing as “marriage” between two men — no matter what stupid laws have been passed — this is a big-nothing-burger story.
Tijuana now has donkey shows with men? Who would have thunk it?
1. They are not really married, just pretending.
2. They were not really separated by the Border Patrol. The illegal was deported and the legal resident didn’t care enough to go with him.
Given that the illegal was deported, I’m celebrating another win for America and for the rule of law. If they are so indifferent to each other that the one still here won’t bother going to Italy to be with the other one, why should normal people care about their separation?
Weird headline. Sign of the times (and not a good one.)
This happened to a woman I know. Circa early ‘70s.
She worked for a cruise line. When the ship docked in NY she decided to stay.
Got a job as a nanny, saved her money, bought a small British sports car.
She decided to visit Canada, drove up there. When she got back the the US border, agents wouldn’t allow her in.
She had to leave her car in Canada. IIRC she was allowed to get her things in NYC, then bye-bye, back to Australia..
She was banned from returning for some years, think it was 5-10 yrs.
Invalid visa, bye bye.
Should be a 10 year ban on re-entry.
Yep, it’s a twofer.
Hopefully the pervert US citizen will follow him to Italy and Good Riddance.
No stupid laws were passed, 5 people in black robes told us that would be the law.
To quote the venerable Marcel Marceau, “C’est la vie.”
OMG. This is getting more ridiculous every day.
yeah, move them to Iran and see what happens to them. You know, the things that the leftard media can’t ignore enough.
