There are a growing number of people who have observed this and know where this leads.
The Middle East is still divided. Not between Shia and Sunni, but between Jihadi’s and non-Jihadi’s. There was a time when that division was the same as the old Shia/Sunni divide. It appears to be not exactly that way now.
There is great risk and great potential reward associated with this.
If the move toward true secularism as is happening in parts of Syria actually jell due to the horrors of ISIS, we could see nations flower. If the norm is like Turkey, there will be huge blood bath and slaughter and destruction of nations.
