Wow. I didn’t know Samsung made a Frig that expensive! I love mine and paid less than half that, but I am a determined bargain hunter. Always watching the closeouts and planning major purchases months in advance.
Mine is heading on to eight years— and yes, the plastics on the inside are showing wear and tear. Epoxy glue, super glue and duct tape.

I think mine was $2800 in 2012. I think I did get it on sale from there, but the final price was definitely over $2K.

The plastic shelves broke under regular use, bottom ice maker broke, top ice maker needs to be defrosted every couple months, freezer door handle came off in my hand...all of that was annoying but livable. Then, the track for the freezer door started losing ball bearings and now, it’s difficult to open and close, because it’s not on the track properly. I’m told it cannot be fixed, because they no longer make the part necessary to fix it.

So, maybe I can buy a used same model inferior POS refrigerator for parts. Or maybe I can drag the sucker out back and put bullets in it until I feel better.
