The publication by the Slime's editorial board shows a high degree of deliberate, reckless malice because the acts cited in the false accusations have long since been disproved. There can be no excuse for their defamatory statements except raw malice. Since it was done by the editorial staff, it puts the NY Slimes Corporation four square behind the slimming.

This “crosshairs” accusation is an old canard. It was defamatory from the start. That should help the plaintiff.
