This Republican May Sabotage the Bill to Defund Planned Parenthood

If the Senate bill to defund the Planned Parenthood abortion business does not get the 50 votes it needs to pass, here is one probation Republican you can thank. Republican Senator Susan Collins of Maine is one of a couple of pro-abortion Republicans in the Senate who is strenuously opposed to defunding Planned Parenthood. Here’s what she said over the weekend: “It makes absolutely no sense to eliminate federal funding for Planned Parenthood,” Collins told ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on “This Week.”

“There are already longstanding restrictions on the use of federal funds for abortion, so this is not what this debate is about. And Planned Parenthood is an important provider of healthcare services, including family planning and cancer screenings for millions of Americans, particularly women,” she continued.

“I am optimistic we’ll prevail on that issue,” Collins said, referring to amending the legislation.

Makes no sense? Then you hypocrites need to just take “pro-life” out of your GOP platform, instead of mendaciously using it as a fund-raising tool on true pro-life people, you lying dirtbags.

Every well meaning or otherwise Republican that votes against the bill will have to accept that they blocked defunding Planned Parenthood.

Just last year, this was a very important issue.

This year,... crickets.

You know, when you think about health care reform, you think about tax cuts, you think about abortion and the effort to defund it, it wasn’t Trump that backed off his campaign promises.

He won, and then it was the Congressional Republicans who had carped for decades about not have ultimate power, who have stepped away from their promises.

Does Susan Collins understand that Planned Parenthood gave her fellow republican’s democrat opponent 700K in the recent special election? That is why I’d like PP defunded. If they have money to make political donations then they don’t need government money.

She’s been threatening it all along. But restore Planned Parenthood funding and you lose votes from the conservative wing.

I am getting sick of these a$$holes....

And they keep complaining that if they move the Health care bill to more of Rand Paul’s liking then they will lose some MODERATE republicans- WELL GOOD - I’D RATHER KNOW THE ONES THAT BLOCK WHAT WE VOTED FOR SINGLED OUT rather than the people who are holding out for WHAT WE VOTED FOR.

The only thing “Republican” about this sorry, senile, elitist *itch is the label she falsely assumes.

The easiest way to end taxpayer funding of Planned Parenthood is to simply tell the truth:

1. Planned Parenthood was established as a eugenics organization, aimed at reducing the population of "inferior" racial/ethnic groups including blacks and Hispanics.

2. Susan Collins wants to preserve government funding for Planned Parenthood.

3. Therefore, Susan Collins hates blacks and Hispanics.

Put these mutants on the defensive and let them justify this bullsh!t.

Those providers can just offer their services elsewhere. No reason for federal funding of clinics that aren’t for the military.

How did I guess it was Collins just from the title, before I even read it?

Collins has always been a liberal. Party affiliation means nothing in her case.

In less than two years, when the GOP has picked up say, 4 or 6 more seats in the Senate, Collins’ no votes will become irrelevant, and this bill can be voted again.

At that time, she will no doubt retire.

Ya know, there may actually be a workaround.

Leave funding for Planned Parenthood in the bill. Attach TO that funding a rider amendment the stipulation that all family services funding are subject to strict accounting procedures. Create a poison pill, in other words. If PP takes the money, Federal agents are going to be looking at their books on a weekly, monthly, quarterly basis.

Believe me, the Moloch worshippers do NOT want that to happen.

They’ll have to say “no thanks”, while the Congress could honestly say “We offered continued funding, but they didn’t want to be accountable.”

Thoughts?

Sounds like a plan. Can you get your idea to someone in the know who could bring it to the table for the negotiations of the health care law??

Damn. Collins and Murky Lisa are nearly useless for the Trump agenda in the Senate. Every seat counts.

I wonder how much trouble Bob Menendez is in with his investigation. Chris Christie would appoint his replacement if Menendez has to resign (the sooner the better). The Stupid Party needs all the help it can get.
