Of all the men on the face of this earth, who should know what saves humanity? The purported Vicar of Christ on Earth. The Pope. But, he doesn’t. That should tell people something, but they’re very resistant. There are people constantly campaigning for this deluded man’s organization on FR, which I find astounding.

I guess it has to do with significance of the organization. When the mysterious purposes of God offer up an unusually flawed Archbishop of Canterbury, say, or pastor of some West Coast mega-church, or President of Gordon-Conwell, it doesn't make quite the ripple, does it?
We all lament that Christ didn't promise us flawless vicars on earth. He had a long learning curve with the first one, as I recall. He came back from the dead and reminded him, "Feed my sheep." And said it three times for emphasis.
May He repeat it early and often, daily, to the current one, until he gets the point.

Are you logically consistent? Was the USA "a deluded man's organization" after Obama was elected President, and were Americans who loved their country (but maybe weren't crazy about their President) guilty of "campaigning" for a "deluded man's organization," to your astonishment?
The Pope is a caretaker, a deputy put in charge of something by a higher authority. That's what the word "vicar" means.
