The analysis that alleged that Russia was behind the DNC server breach was carried out not by the U.S. government, but by the private security group CrowdStrike.
CrowdStrike is the sole source of this claim, with their June 2016 report, “Bears in the Midst: Intrusion into the Democratic National Committee” being the basis of the DNC’s Russian hacking allegations.

You’re right...a little more intriguing everyday. Rush thinks the Russian story is fizzling because of the Washington Post story last week. I think that the testimony of Jeh Johnson and Comey that the DHS and FBI were prevented from looking at the DNC computers has a lot to do with it too. The story is starting to turn back on the democrats. Why were DHS and FBI prevented from investigating this foreign ‘hack’? That just doesn’t make sense. If there REALLY was a hack the DNC would be demanding an investigation, wouldn’t they? Unless there’s something even bigger that the DNC and other democrats are hiding.
If Crowdstrike saw evidence of a potential causus beli for world war 3 and didn’t immediately turn it over to the FIB then so much for “trusted contractor” status. They should lose all govt contracts.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Schmidt “sent a Clinton campaign official a lengthy memo with advice on running the campaign. He told campaign officials he was ‘ready to fund, advise recruit talent,’ and ‘clearly wants to be head outside advisor,’ according to a 2014 email from Clinton campaign Chairman John Podesta to campaign manager Robby Mook.”
And Politico reported in November 2016 that Schmidt “served in a personal capacity as an adviser to the Clinton operation,” and wore a “staff” badge at her election night party.
I’m not sure why the article didn’t include a sixth point. The reason Crowdstrike determined that Russia was behind the DNC hacks was because they believe Russian agents left behind a piece of code that was similar to code that was found on cell phones in the Ukraine. The Ukraine phones were used by artillery soldiers and, according to reports, were tracked to reveal the gun placements and provide targeting guidance. Except this whole narrative was debunked by the Ukrainian government and it never happened. The piece of code that was supposedly “Russian” was widely available on the dark net and could have been downloaded used by any number of hackers for economic or political purposes. So....
6. The intelligence reports that relied on the Crowdstrike analysis and formed the foundation for the whole media “Russian hacking” narrative are based on debunked and inconclusive evidence.

As I posted in another thread in the Thread entitled “Trump Demands apology, accuses Obama of having colluded or obstructed:
The more information that becomes public, the More I begin to wonder about the Hacking of the DNC. We know now:
1) DNC was hacked and some 19,000 emails from January 2015 to May 2016 were released on Wikileaks, These emails were from 7 DNC members. However, the DNC has some 200 members. So one would think there are thousands of emails not hacked.
2) We know definitively that J. Johnson, Obama’s head of Homeland Security and FBI went to the DNC to review the DNC servers after they were hacked. They refused.
Question, why did they refuse? What was in those emails?
3) We know also know that Obama had information from CIA from well sourced agents in Russia that Putin directly ordered the Hack of the DNC (there goes the crazy leftwing narrative that Trump or RNC was involved with the Hack). Obama new it was Putin
4) We also know that Comey, FBI director at the time, now testified that AG Lynch directed him to call the Investigation of Hillary’s emails a “Matter” not “investigatin” and that she met with Bill Clinton at an airport hanger in Nevada.
Question: What if some of those other emails that were not hacked contain discussion between DNC and Lynch and suggest that there was collusion between Bill Clinton, Loretta Lynch an the DNC to protect Hillary.
Comey testified that he saw some email evidence, maybe from the emails that he found from Weiner or Huma that Hillary let them see that suggested that the DNC and Lynch seem to be saying things that were essentially the same, suggesting some communication between the two.
5) Trump says Obama did nothing about Putin because they thought Hillary would win and all this stuff above would go away. In other words, none of this would have seen the light of day
6) Trump wins and now there is collusion between Trump and Putin mantra that the NYT, WPOST, CNN and MSNBC have been pushing since November.
7) If there was any “collusion”, my guess it was among Loretta Lynch, Bill Clinton and the DNC to protest Hillary. If Obama new about this, and my guess is he did not unless Jim Comey had the guts to go over Lynch’s head to tell Obama directly, and I doubt he had the guts to do so, then he is potentially guilty. But I don’t think Comey, based on what I have seen, had the balls to go over Lynch’s head to report this to Obama (i.e. the Matter vs investigation directive from her to him).

Just found this on FoxBusiness. Judge Napolitano is making the connections that I was talking about in my earlier post. And he clearly states that if “emails” exists between Lynch and DNC, that would constitute obstruction of justice.

BTW, before you post your comment again on another thread, you need to correct at least one fact you had wrong. Clinton and Lynch met on the tarmac (he actually got off his plane and got on to her plane) in the National Guard area of Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, AZ, not an airplane hanger in Nevada. Their meeting was planned but not announced. It was to be in secret, in other words. Problem was, a local Phoenix TV reporter saw the whole thing happening and reported it. If not for that reporter, we might never have known about it.
That meeting was where the "fix" was being put "in" in the Hillary email investigation. Within a week after that meeting, Hillary's email problems disappeared.
What twisted lives these crooks lead.
