The Supreme Court has agreed to hear a case on President Donald Trumps ban on visitors from six Muslim-majority countries. The case will be argued in October.
Within two weeks of taking office, Trump issued an executive order restricting visits from seven Muslim-majority countries for three months and suspending Americas refugee resettlement program, arguing that federal officials needed to review the vetting process in the interest of national security.
The order fulfilled one of the new presidents most controversial campaign promises. But the chaotic weekend that ensued ― dozens of people detained at airports and protests nationwide ― also played an early role in defining the Trump administration as clumsy and disinterested in the details and process of policymaking.

Not really. They punted. The “ban” was always supposed to be temporary. Hearing the case in October instead of slapping down the activist judges now negates any impact a SCOTUS decision would have.
Supreme Court will review Trump travel ban, allows it to take effect in most instances.
Let's not claim defeat in the glow of victory. President Trump asked for a 90 day moratorium so the system could be investigated. It's more than 90 days until October. Now he has the ban over the summer, which I'd think is a good time to be able to restrict ISIS crazies from entering the US.
It’s all optics. Both sides will spin this as a win.
Unfortunately, if there is another San Berdoo type terrorist waiting in one of those five countries she is getting in thanks to SCOTUS.
Its all optics. Both sides will spin this as a win.

Hard to see this as anything other than a win for Trump. Although the matter is not yet legally resolved, the court did reinstat most of the ban and overruled several lower courts, at least for now. Considering that the ban is temporary, this quick decision reaffirms the president’s authority and will be seen as a big setback for the libs.
WIN
Thank you I will have another.

yes...I noticed that. By holding off hearing the case until October, they have essentially confirmed the THREE MONTH “Travel Ban” which is all it was in the first place.
Headline lies by omission - typical of a liberal rag.
The headline should be “Supreme Court unanimously reinstates travel ban - will hear case in October”
So are the rogue judges going to be fired? Sanctioned? Tarred and feathered?

This point is so important. It is not enough to go for the “win”. There must be follow through, to protect against this happening again, or it will indeed happen again.
