Under the ruling, illegal immigrants that have Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) status may not pay the in-state tuition rate.
“The decision is key because in-state tuition is yet another benefit that acts as a magnet for illegal aliens choosing to make the reckless and irresponsible decision to bring their children illegally across our sovereign borders,” Immigration Reform Law Institute’s (IRLI) executive director and general counsel, Dale Wilcox told Breitbart Texas.
Arizona voters passed Proposition 300 (“Prop 300”) in November 2006 which incorporated federal law to prohibit these postsecondary education benefits to non-qualified aliens who are residents of the state.

This is a good thing. This is a states rights issue and the court sided with Arizona, which didn’t want Dreamers getting the in-state discount...they will have to pay the out of state price, usually 3-4 times the cost. It also validates states rights to make decisions like this.
I’ll tell you, Arizona is a champ when it comes to fighting illegals and trying to keep the Federals out of their business. Remember Gov. Brewer gave it to Obama right after he landed...she dressed him down right on the tarmac.

Maybe not. This proceeding was in the Arizona state court system at the appeals court level. My understanding is that the next stop would be the Arizona Supreme Court and then directly to the U.S. Supreme Court if the losing party appeals.
In order for the Ninth Circuit to hear the case, it would have to have started in a federal court.
Giving special tuition rates for illegals while denying them to out-of-states violates the federal civil rights laws since it discriminates on the basis of national origin. We need class actions filed by out of staters to make that point.

Absolutely need it~!! Never understood why this was allowed—why parents of college bound did not rise up with pitch forks when illegals are getting in-state tuition...
Another related problem...We desperately need to limit the number of Foreign Student Visas — as right now they are UNLIMITED so universities can accept as many foreign students as they choose. University of Illinois is known as “University of China at Illinois” due to the large number of foreign students they accept. Of course Illinois students often don’t receive admission. Oh and there are incentives to hire foreign students with Foreign Student Visas over US Citizen Students upon graduation...
Federal law found at 18 U.S.C. § 1425
(a) makes it a crime to “knowingly procur[e], contrary to law, the naturalization of any person” to become a U.S. citizen. (“Naturalization” is the legal term for becoming a citizen.)
Moreover, a second federal statute, 8 U.S.C. § 1451(e) adds that a foreigner who obtains U.S. citizenship through such a violation will lose that newly granted citizenship.
Supreme sending it back to lower court...wants it more defined.

Great, now drop the charges against Arpaio and dump John McLame for the trifecta.
College counselors and others usually find various "gifts" that cover much of the tab, the rest of the tab goes into their loans which they'll never repay any!
I sure hope they aren’t getting that tuition free! That would surely suck!
How could something so obviously right, happen in what used to be USA?
The DREAM Act is not an Act, it never passed Congress.
DACA is the illegal and unconstitutional implementation of the act that is not an Act.
Candidate Trump pledged to reverse it immediately upon taking office.
It is still operating as if it were law.
It is something dreamed up by Obama and just as illegal today as it was under Obama.

It still irks me that Texas also gives dreamers in-state tuition rates and we also have “motor-voter” registration.

It also gave amnesty to 800,000. So now, thanks to unconstitutional DACA, we've got nearly 1 million more democrat voters.
CA will accept them in college .
