" For the first time in two decades the White House will not celebrate an Iftar Dinner on its grounds."
So NOT having an Iftar dinner tradition goes back from 1997 to 1805, and really that was Thomas Jefferson delaying dinner I guess so the Ambassador from Algiers or Morocco or wherever he was from could do his Ramadan thing.
Great reporting there WaPo.

“When he found that they worshipped only a Great Spirit, he pronounced them all vile heretics.” Thomas Jefferson invited a bigot to dinner. The Cherokees and Elizabeth Warren were excluded spiritually.

First of all, How come we know more about the specifics of Muslim holy days more than the Hebrew holy days?
Secondly, Prez Trump was wrong, I will never tire of all this winning.
