With all the advocacy lawyers on their side, a trail and appeals would have run over 1.5m. That much is obvious, the city saw that and settled. They could have fought it out and won but it would have cost more.

Understand, but they would have been using taxpayer money to do so, and it would have been an interesting vote on whether the population would say “ spend and end it all” so we don’t get this type of stuff going forward.

Give in to one, every violent criminal who assaults a police officer will get $1.5m. Fight and win, the ambulance chasers will not be encouraged the next time.
