We conservatives have done an incredible job of finding conservative candidates and running them in the primaries over the last 6 years, since 2010. We have done this, all over America, in almost every district with no guidance or support from the R party. It is going to take longer, stay registered R, its the only way to continue the change.
Really good news, Mick Mulvaney, Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) is a teaparty congressman! He was elected in the 2010 sweep, how sweet is that? A teaparty member in charge of the budget of the USA!
Now that right there is outstanding news!
When I got my Drivers License in GA the DMV people signed me up to vote automatically. I produced my IL license ... and they insisted on seeing my lease. They required no proof of citizenship. When my half-Hispanic daughter got her GA license, do you really think they checked her citizenship?
I’ve voted in GA 2 or 3 times each year since 2014, including low turnout referendums. Most of the time I am prepared with my license in my hand. I announce my name and address. Nobody looks that closely at my picture on my license, or my birthdate or other identifying data.
I’ve watched the process at my voting place in GA, standing around up to 15 min counting the number of people, etc. as I always vote early.
Illinois has voter ID for first time registered at an address. Since people move often, that is a lot of people.
I haven’t noticed any difference between GA and IL. I suspect it varies by the election judge, varies by how busy they are, varies by how they profile old white guys or young
non-white guys in both states.
In IL, I’ve heard stories of election judges committing vote fraud. But in my personal experience both R and D election judges were some of my strongest supporters in trying to convince Republican prosecutors to prosecute vote fraud. I still have in my mind Esther Campagna, D election judge and Alinsky Activist yelling and screaming Alinsky style at Bernard Carey, Republican County prosecutor.
We always seem to be concentrating on what the Democrats are going to do to the Republicans?
