Title sucks, seems the "bullet" did it, deputies just happened to be there.
Indefinite suspension with full salary for all LEO involved, effective immediately!! Civilians should know better than to get in the line of fire between a dog and a LEO!! Sheesh...
Be sure of your back stop:
guess they didn’t learn that one.
Liberals like to spend, consequences be damned.
Islamists like to blow up things, consequences be damned.
Cops like to shoot dogs, consequences be damned.
F the police. Yes all of them. Anyone that would want to work for a corrupt system and be proud of it should be suspect.
/Libtard gun grabber /off
One day cops will discover a pepper spray that works on dogs.
The pit bull had already bit the police officer’s partner’s leg. The owner put the dog away and it escaped and attacked the officer. Just as the officer was about to shoot the dog, the owner jumps over to stop the dog from attacking. It was too late. The owner stepped into the bullet meant to stop the dog’s attack.
Until we know the exact circumstances when the officer fired his weapon all comments an analysis are of no merit.
I myself have been shooting for 60 years and do not understand how this happened. As prior posted any analysis with out full knowledge of what was happening is worthless as was my comment.
We do not know what really happened. It may be gross negligence or a horrible legal error.
We do not know.
This concern over an obviously viscous dog is another example of the obsession with animals that has taken over society. It’s always the human’s fault. We have comfort animals. If you didn’t get your animal by rescue, you are a mean person. You are a pet parent not an owner. If you don’t have a pet there is something wrong with you. Oh and what about when people bring their dog to your house and you had made it clear not to, you are the weird one. The pet industry has created this mass hysteria and are laughing all the way to the bank. Meanwhile people are mauled to death and there’s a never ending supply of stray animals..
I guess the other option is to disarm the cops...so they run away at the first sign of trouble, as in London.
Have they stopped training cops in firearms safety?
When I hunt, I go with a group of military veterans, I know that not a one of my buddies will take a shot until they know the location of every other member of the group and have thoroughly evaluated the situation.
I had to let a nice 10-point buck walk once, because I couldn’t locate one of my team.
Most cops can’t shoot for shite. That’s why you read all these stories.
Is the “teen” who was shot and killed the same “young person” who initially restrained the dog? Was this person also the owner of the dog? If this is all affirmative then the aspect of “tragedy” is greatly diminished. This is a garbage article. My summary is: While attempting to defend themselves from a second attack by a vicious dog the police accidentally killed the dog’s owner.
