Ron Howard directing a Star Wars movie. He should cast Jim Nabors as Corellian spaceship mechanic Gomor Peel.

I could care less about Star Wars except for that really cute girl in the Toyota commercial for the last movie.

He's on a bit of a losing streak, with Inferno and Heart of the Sea.
I tried watching Genius, his television production about Einstein, but it was awful. Opened with Einstein's pants around his ankles as he was banging his secretary in the office. Then flashed back to him whinging to his father that his family was abandoning him by moving away. The dialog was worthy of Tommy Wisseau's The Room. I was sort of hoping for some physics, being it was about Einstein and all that.

Jim Nabors would be a little stiff for that role.

This actually sounds pretty cool!
Arrested Development was awesome.
Apollo 13 was awesome.
He’s got some amazing skills.

From now on whenever I hear "Star Wars" I'll think of Princess Lea dying at the age of 60 with
cocaine and
heroin in her system.
IOW...couldn't care less about Ronnie Howard *or* Star Wars.
To: Ciaphas Cain
I’m just waiting to hear that Han Solo will be recast as a black guy or a muslim woman or something at this point.
To: Ciaphas Cain
I've always found that Howard's got a little slow of a pace for action movies. He seems more interested in story telling and character development than action sequences.
That may create issues for Han Solo.
To: Ciaphas Cain
Had the misfortune of watching “Genius” (about Albert Einstein) directed by Opie.
WAY too much conjecture and “you’re a bad husband, a bad father” introspective moments. Wait, did I say “moments”? I meant FULL EPISODES! Good grief, 3 episodes that could have been condensed into 20 minutes to get the point across.
Won’t be watching Opie Solo.
I seriously think Opie’s dad didn’t hug him enough.
To: Ciaphas Cain
With Ron on board the film may have a chance.

The first Star Wars was good, because of the ground breaking special effects. Since then, nothing new. Boring.
