I still think the most likely outcome (once ISIS is eliminated) is the partition of Syria between the Russian/Assad regime in the West, Turkey with a strip just south of the border, and the US/Kurds with the rest.

On the other hand, Erdogan is just stupid enough to think he can take on the Kurds or the Syrian regime by himself.

Iran is most of the Syrian Army. Russia has their AF and Putin with him.

Erdogan will loose that.

No, I doubt Assad can put it back together, even if he wanted to accept a Federation like the Kurds asked for.

Erdogan is talking with ME Gulf Oil money behind him.

He has screwed the Turk army up big time. Half the officers (the good ones) are in jail, dead or out of military. He recently had 2 of his top generals killed in a helicopter crash in Eastern Turkey. (guerillas did it) something like gremlins? smile
