We’ve Crushed the Resistance.

That was easy!

The resistance never was more than a bunch of anarchists and Trump haters.

It happened the day Hillary Clinton declared herself “part of the resistance.” That was the moment the whole movement died, in parody of itself, as the presidential candidate who lost the election fair and square tried to position herself as a leader in the effort to delegitimize the winner.

Yeah, your "resistance" was already a two-time failed candidate, just who you'd want as a "leader".

But they can’t accept that Barack Insane Obama was failed leadership. To them, that would be racist. So they’re in a mental Catch 22.

I know many a Bernie voter certainly thought so. The ease with which she made this co-option was a tipoff as to just how contrived and shallow the whole thing is. Establishment candidate, establishment media, establishment party - "We're losers but we're your leaders." Best of luck with that.

Oh, and “the resistance”? Trump’s opponents need a new approach besides pretending they are living in German-occupied France.

The adolescent wing of the Dem party has always pictured itself as consisting of revolutionary heroes swimming in a sea of intolerable oppression. That one's sell-by date is forty years past and it was stupid to begin with.

Once upon a time, I did not engage in Schadenfreude.

Now I do.

Assuming the Resistance has fizzled out, and that’s not yet obvious, I would mark the end as the moment that gunman started firing at the GOP congressmen.

That’s the moment when all the hating took on real meaning and spewed words became action. The first sign that it was all over was when the verdict on the Castile case came in not guilty and the Twin Cities suffered only a mild protest lasting one evening.

A similar thing happened in August of 1970 when activists bombed Sterling Hall in Madison WI in the middle of the night and killed a researcher who happened to be working all night. That essentially marked the end of campus riots of the late 60’s.

When people start to die as a result of instigating, the instigators tend to go mute, finding a better way to occupy their time.

The Dims will keep trying, but their Russian nonsense is falling by the wayside. Meanwhile, as they base their entire existence on destroying Trump, he’s out doing exactly what the American people want: creating an environment that’s friendly to job growth, combating terrorism, stopping the flow of illegals, etc.

As it stands now, if the 2018 race was held tomorrow, the Dims would get steamrolled.

Sure it’s dead,I still only see Republicans being investigated,Hillary walking around the woods with top secret clearance,Who knows who Bill is doing lately instead of what he’s doing to undermine the country, the likes of Holder, who should be in prison,is thinking of running for President, along with the lunatic Biden, the Congress led by Ryan,McConnell making sure Trump can’t repeal Obama care or get any income tax reform.
Seems to me nothing has changed. Except the bluster
