I would say, I don’t think argument or persuasion or activism would have much effect in CA. Like IL, CA is just going to have to go bankrupt, and even then, the mechanisms of the state will likely work to provide greater and greater safety net to the poorest folks here. Thus, as the relief becomes more and more necessary, the poor will be entranced into voting yet ever more for those who promise the goods.

I don’t think TPTB reach “limits”. The Federal Reserve doesn’t reach some projected threshold where they can no longer buy trash debt from the banks, for example. They instead invent negative interest rates. CA does not reach a point where it simply cannot afford welfare for that next immigrant. Instead it invents an artifice of some kind; it will (as an example) give supermarkets tax credits for giving away food. It will give landlords a temporary tax reduction for rent received if the tenants earn less than some threshold. There is no factual “breaking point”; only a slow grind to another, then another breaking point. The true breaking point that is, in fact and in deed, utterly impossible is 25 years out, so to me, cannot be predicted in any reasonable way. What *is* predictable is the enhanced tax burden and the degradation of roads and various services that will intensify as the vote hunt intensifies. That’s what I don’t want to be caught in, if I can avoid it.

Here is another little unknown vile secret of the libs re loving illegals and $crewing Californians!

Critics rip University of California for favoring illegal immigrants over out-of-state Americans:

“The UC system, like many others around the country, is routinely giving preferential treatment to illegal aliens at the expense of American students, many of whom are attending at great sacrifice of their parents,” Kyle Olson, founder of Education Action Group, told Fox News.

“It is disturbing to know the UC system is not even sure how many illegal students it has enrolled and is enabling by not enforcing our immigration laws.”

The University of California currently has 16.5 percent of its student body comprised of out-of-state students. It’s estimated that there are roughly 3,700 illegal immigrants studying in the UC system.

http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/06/20/critics-rip-university-california-for-favoring-illegal-immigrants-over-out-state-americans.html

Imagine if your child, grand child or a niece or nephew has been going to a tough private school for the last 4 years. That child has not cost tax payers a dime for their education.

In the 12 years of education, relatives of that child have paid big time property taxes, sales taxes and income taxes. A huge % of the taxes supposedly go to the California Children via the divine distribution of our taxes by Sacramento.

Your child with the tough grading system may have got a couple of B’s to go with all A’s in the other courses.

Then, you find that your child is competing with out of state kids and illegals with easy to get A’s, your child is tu.rned down for the easy mark A’s.

So inspite of a tremendous amount of taxes paid by relatives and zero tax $ cost for the last 4 years, your child gets $crewed by the left wing Cal system.

Fortunately, for one of these children, a private out of state university gave the child an excellent scholarship because of the high standards of the private high school she attended and her all A’s with the exception of 2 B’s in 4 years.

Excellent point, I see your logic and you are correct. The loss of other peoples money (Federal Money) may force the issue in a shorter time. At this point, nothing is being done to stop the slide.

If it is not apparent NOW just how far they would go, chances are few will ever see the light of truth.

Crooked lawyers created a Make Work taxpayer funded program for other crooked lawyers. How do I KNOW they are ALL crooked? Because this entire program is designed and operated to aid and abet lawbreakers!

Great post.

I don’really see that politics is the answer, either. Maybe a piece of the puzzle, but not the most important one. If this becomes just a game of how to steal more from the productive, then I think a better focus is on the details of tax law and wealth preservation.

Here in Kalifornia, a bill is asking that the state become a sanctuary state AND today I read the L.A. Chief of Police has supported the bill. I really want to see him arrested.

I’m telling ya, 20+ years ago I used to live in LA on the beach bike path and frequented this little coffee shop where Richard Riordon came in every morning on his bike ride. LA Mayor 1993-2001. I used to talk to him quite a bit, and he confirmed that literally every state action in CA is dedicated to the interests of the state employee unions. All of it. There were plenty of illegals then but it is clear that illegals and the whole topic of immigration is an absolute winner for Democrats. Guaranteed votes, guaranteed constituency. It is a feedback loop that has gone to positive feedback. It is sure to continue until it rattles itself apart. By then the infrastructure of the state will be in a completely impossible state of repair. The roads out here are practically undriveable, both from the overtraffic standpoint, and they are almost all dished so badly from overuse they are going to need replacement at astronomical cost.

That would help. A more effective plan would be to ARREST the Mayors and the Governor who are breaking the law. Put them in jail... the tide will turn dramatically when the decision-makers are behind bars.

I like the sound of that, when is Sessions going to start?

You’re seeing Venezuela in slow motion. I saw the writing on the wall many years ago and left. Its an unwinnable situation in Cali unless you’re somehow connected to the ruling elite. I’m sorry that you have to deal with it.
