What can we do, really? Send a harshly-worded letter? Can we tighten sanctions any tighter? We aren’t go to attack them, unfortunately. There will be many worse outrages before we do anything substantive.

He didn't die in North Korea. He died days after release from North Korea, at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center.

His parents were with him when he passed on.

The Norks must have done something really horrible and unimaginable to him.

Communism must be destroyed

Oh my goodness, nooooo. What a shame. NK has blood on their hands. I feel so bad for the family, all those months without him and then he comes home and they have him for such a short while, how heart breaking for the family. That little rat bleep needs to get the same treatment.

I agree, and it’s time to charge that regime with the murder of a US citizen. Take it before the UN.

It is possible to see different sides, but I guess seeing his Dad talk to Tucker Carlson is what got me in the soft spot. I’ve never had to face this kind of loss. Prayers for them.

Plenty of ways.
Not all NK interests are in NK.

Yes. And if someone can let me know please. Were the kid and his parents “progressives”?

If my kid said they were going to N Korea on Holiday, I’d either stop them, or disown them.

Going to North Korea was an astonishingly bad idea in the first place.

I’m sorry but not surprised that it turned out this way.

This kid was woefully ignorant of the ways of the hard core NK regime. He took a NK Communist propaganda sign off the wall in the hotel hallway to take home with him. That's it. Was taken to their court and was sobbing and crying begging for forgiveness. Horrible. He was totally naive about a country who's economy runs off prison camps.

Obama should have sent Dennis Rodman in to do the bargaining.

Imagine the press if Rodman had brought him back in a healthy state.

He went on a tour.

Get off your high horse.

Yes, he went on a tour to a country that the US, even during the feckless Udumbo administration, advised that Americans should not visit. If I were president I would make it clear that if you visit a country we advise you not to visit we will not spend one nickel or risk one life trying to get you back if things go bad.

That bastard Obama was too busy getting criminals released from jails in this country to get this kid released from the NORKs. Obama is a pig.

Dear Freeper, one can hope this young man knew Christ as his Savior.....
...and then yes, absent in body, present with the Lord.

I know how heartless this will sound.

Remember, Otto was on a Young Pioneer tour. The Young Pioneers harkens back to Lenin’s Communist summer camps for Soviet children. The tour group runs tours to Communist countries.

This is another example of stupid liberals winning stupid prizes.

I blame Otto and his parents as much as I blame DPRK psychos.

Yes but how naive to steal something. You don’t do that in America let alone a Stinking Commie country. What was this kid thinking? I wouldn’t spit in that country.
May his life at least be a warning to our young in this country.

Mr Warmbier should take his next opportunity with the press to go Mel Gibson from Ransom, and offer $50,000 for the kidnapping or execution of Kim.
