I,like many Freepers (most Freepers?) had an outstanding Dad.He was a child of the Depression and WWII who,in turn, had good parents and older siblings. He was honest, hard working,God fearing, damn good to my Mom,damn good to us kids.He taught us many valuable lessons...and did so by word *and* by deed.To whatever degree I can be considered a respectable (or,dare I say, admirable?) man my Mom and Dad deserve 99% of the credit.

I miss my Dad....I'm going to the cemetery today to thank him...yet again.

With every passing year, I admire and respect him more for the sacrifices he made for my sisters and me.

Reminds me of a saying I use quite frequently: "the older I get,the smarter my Old Man gets".
