Yeah this article stands out as a warning to authors:
ALWAYS get a critical pair of eyes on an article before you publish. It will save you no end of embarrassment!
You can’t embarrass someone who doesn’t know ‘NO SHAME’. LOL!
Typical leftist.
Like Bruce Springsteen’s “act” (not his other act).

Tom isn’t worth $30MM
*****************
Well, that may well be true but it really doesn’t matter if he’s worth $30M or $10M. By any standard, he’s a very wealthy guy. The key issue here is that he and others in the music and entertainment industry are a bunch of hypocrites. They accumulate great wealth and the trappings of success and go to great lengths to hide it from their gullible fans.
I have no problem with them making lots of money. If your chosen profession generates high income, good for them. However, having wealth and piously portraying oneself as a struggling artist is disingenuous.
Another aspect of their hypocrisy is that most entertainers are liberals who never saw a government program they didn’t like. Yet many of these same people refuse to pay their taxes which help fund those same programs.
When Howard Stern had Stuttering John "interview" stars and ask phony questions, the one that annoyed most stars was "who are you?" I agree with you on the hypocrite front, and he's likely chanting "kill kill kill kill the poor tonight" behind closed doors. (Speaking of which, despite the left wing nature of the Dead Kennedys, their lyrics were actually balanced in some regards, their music was much better than RATM, and East Bay Ray is a much better guitarist.) If everyone treated Tom like the dopey human being and five percenter that he likely is, he'd get even more peeved.
As the old saying goes, a fool and his money soon part. That seems to be especially true with rock stars, with a few notable exceptions. LOL
