Ah, the long tradition of the Bayou St. John Boat Parade. Generations upon generations of children wait in anticipation each year to carry out that tradition.

I know it is hard for many of you in cites that unlike New Orleans are not 300 years old, but the Bayou St. John Boat Parade goes way back to 2012.

The children of New Orleans will never again see the two dozen drunk fat dudes on their home made floats challenging the rapids of Bayou St. John in Mid City.

Heh. The story that nola.com ran on this two days ago made it sound like the founder was using this as a convenient excuse to end her involvement with the event. IOW, it was becoming more of a chore than it was when she first dreamed it up waaaay back in ought-twelve.
