Verizon buying Yahoo was the stupidest acquisition of all time. What value does Yahoo have? Even their email sucks and is prone to hacking.
And a story on Yahoo today was ‘Sessions has memory problems as he cannot recall if he met with the Russians two or three times’. I heard this part of his testimony. He had denied meeting with the Russians 3 times....he said this several times and, after being badgered by the Dem Senator, he said, in exasperation, ‘if it happened, I don’t remember it’. And the lede was ‘Sessions has memory problems’. Big Media must be on the Dem Payroll.

Yahoo was who AT&T, their chief rival, was contracting their email services out to. AT&T canned all their in house email server admins after they migrated everyone to Yahoo. This means that AT&T is going to have to find someone else to run their email systems for their subscribers or make their own, with concordant transition issues with the transition.
Verizon may have bought Yahoo to get into the search engine game *and* bone their main competitor, AT&T.
