A gunman opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball practice session on Wednesday morning, injuring four people including House Majority Whip Steve Scalise in what is thought to have been a targeted attack on the GOP.
The shooter - described as a white, middle-aged male - fired up to 100 rounds from a high powered rifle from the third base dugout at Eugene Simpson Stadium Park in Alexandria, Virginia, as the group practiced batting at around 7am.

If it really was an AR-15, which some have stated, with .223 rounds, I don’t know that I would really call that a “high powered” rifle (and I own some of them!).

Official FBI just said on FOX that he does not know who the shooter is, does not know if he is alive or dead, did not know how many people were injured, nothing......
Sounds like he is shooting for Comey’s job.
I am waiting for him to announce the only thing he does know is that this was Trump’s fault!!!

I’m not going to assume it was an AR15. It doesn’t matter if it was but I have heard shotgun and hand gun and a total of 60 rounds between the shooter and the police. I will say this though, had it been an actual high pieered rifle, we would be talking about dead people, not wounded people.

Our democracy is in jeopardy. An individual who was a president-elect and now the president of this great nation divides us with racism, sickening comments, and name callings. This child-man needs to step down so the adults (democrats or republicans) can run this country properly.
Sure, the violent left. Except for people like Greg Gianforte attacking a reporter for asking a simple question, Trump encouraging violence at every campaign speech, the KKK and White Nationalist promoting violence agianst minorities, constant death threats to Hillary and Obama, and of course the lack of gun regulations courtesy of the NRA paid GOP puppets. But sure it's the violent left even though we don't know anything about the shooter at this point except that he is white.
When the leader of our country promotes hate people will listen. Especially people with weapons designed to kill people. Even mentally ill people can get those weapons so why should we be surprised?

Pistol caliber is usually larger than rifle caliber.

“The only reason why any of us walked out of this thing, by the grace of God, one of the folks here had a weapon to fire back and give us a moment to find cover. We were inside the backstop and if we didn’t have that cover by a brave person who stood up and took a shot themselves, we would not have gotten out of there and every one of us would have been hit — every single one of us,” said Bishop. “He was coming around the fence line and he was looking for all of us who had found cover in different spots. But if we didn’t have return fire right there, he would have come up to each one of us and shot us point-blank.”
