Read an article that said one person had a gun and “returned fire” to give cover while the others were looking for shelter. Wasn’t clear if it was a congressman or security person.

So far this AM I've heard several elected Republicans interviewed and my first impression is that as witnesses to a shooting they're doing a MUCH better job than what I've come to expect from mass shootings. And a better job than they do when questioned on political issues on the hill. They need to talk and act like this more, without needing to take incoming fire to bring this out.

In contrast the first law enforcement media briefing is all too familiar. Starts like the Oscars with everyone praising everyone for a job well done and saying absolutely nothing informative. A complete waste.
