I’m starting a legal defense fund for art. I’m providing the seed funding for a legal defense fund for anyone spitting in the face of an individual funding the NY Public Theater. Consider that Bruce Jenner is now Caitlyn, that Rachel Dolezal is now black, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rachel_Dolezal, that Al Gore is a scientist and a boy won a Connecticut State track race, it’s easy to define what we want assault to be. It’s art.
To be clear, we are NOT encouraging you to spit in the face of the funders. You will be arrested. However, if you do spit and get arrested, claim it’s art. We will try and help pay for your defense.
No extra legal defense fees will be provided for spitting in the face of a NYTimes manager/editor after they ludicrously said:
"A spokeswoman for The Times said the company, which has sponsored Shakespeare in the Park for 20 years, would not change course. In a statement, the company said: ”As an institution that believes in free speech for the arts as well as the media, we support the right of the Public Theater to stage the production as they chose.”
Huh? Believing in free speech is different than funding vulgar, offensive speech.
