Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is calling for Attorney General Jeff Sessions to be fired, comments that come on the eve of his testimony to the Senate Intelligence Committee.

"He needs to be fired. He needs to be taken out of that job," Warren told “The Axe Files,” a joint podcast between CNN and the University of Chicago Institute of Politics that is hosted by Democratic strategist David Axelrod.

Warren cited Sessions's acknowledgment earlier this year that he had two meetings with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak that he failed to disclose when testifying under oath.

"If you're not going to be honest during your confirmation hearing, then you ought to be gone,” Warren said.

. . . and probably win the nomination. on the dem side, it's all about the groups rights boxes that you can check. kamala harris is a minority female, and warren is merely female (unless you count her 1/132nd american indian heritage, and I don't think she even has the audacity to play that card again).

in that contest, kamala wins by a score of two constitutional amendments to one.
