Hail does happen in warmer weather. It is associated with severe thunderstorms. You must be thinking sleet which is colder weather.

I just saw the two inches, and the guy using the snow blower. It didn't seem to be melting!

One summer day, I was speeding down the interstate, when all of the sudden, it was like I was driving on marbles. A recent thunderstorm had just deposited several inches of hail on the road. It was very strange to have an icy road condition on such a hot day.

We’re in the far west metro and dime sized hail covered our deck and lawn like snow. It was nothing like they got at Coon Rapids in the northern metro, thankfully.

Sister in law will be without power until tomorrow at the earliest. She also has several trees down. At one point 165,000 were without power.

I’m sure they didn’t have to bring out the snowplow, not that SF has any in the first place. :)

See my post above. It WAS unusual for June. Just kind of interesting.

And, in news from the southwest in central Arizona, we have had only a handful of days so far this year over 100 degrees! Global cooling?

South of the river. Hail was hit and miss and pea-sized.

But, I cannot remember rain coming down that fast and hard for so long...

Heavy rain is near there definitely. It appears they had 2” of rain in the past hour according to the NWS.

The rain was crazy yesterday! Our patio chair cushions might dry out by Independence Day. :)

The gulf weather pattern just moves farther north during the summer. I’ve been in some pretty rough weather in southern/central Canada during the summer months while on fishing trips. Even had a couple of inches of pea sized hail in July. Nothing like this example however.
