Wow someone’s ox was gored. I was pointing out the very real medical issues with marijuana. I treat them on a daily basis. I was not discussing your personal choices.

Not a safe idea to go hurtling through trees when impaired either

it didn’t diminish pain.

Are you claiming that medicine is a one-size-fits-all proposition - that either it works for everybody or it works for nobody? If not, there is no obvious relevance to your personal anecdote.

people aren’t buying the expensive taxed weed from the stores.

People are buying billions of dollars worth of that weed.

Most FReepers agree...Government knows best.

I'm not sure that's true - it may just be that those FReepers are the loudest.

When you sober up, read the articles again. [...] Your mod-deleted reply to me consisted of the letters, “F#&k you a$*hole.”

So your ad hominem attack goaded babble-on into a ban-ably angry response. Thank you for your valuable contribution to the discussion. What pearls of your wisdom will follow, I wonder?

What I push is the liberty of adults to make their own choices

Most things, like the decriminalization of marijuana, are pretty simple when you have a core philosophy that values personal freedom. I enjoy reading threads like this just to take note of which Freepers believe they have the right to lock people in cages just for enjoying one of God's gifts in the privacy of their own home.

Pot legal is toothpaste out of the tube. Alcohol has been legal a long time.

However, one troubling thing is that EVERY DAY I smell it on the road, meaning people are smoking and vaping pot in their cars. I’m really not ok with that. Most of the cars have only one person it it so people are driving high.

My life is better with CBD oil. Many weeds have medicinal assistance for us. I use a few herbs and plants for me and my family, and cannabis is one. I have zero desire to be high or out of it.

I love it here but do get disgusted with “conservatives” against freedom. I am only a conservative because of freedom. I have no desire to push my religious or moral beliefs or lifestyle on anyone else and I want them to have theirs (unless it harms others, like islamicism). Our Constitution is the best thing going.

On cannabis threads, on vaccine threads, we see a lot of FReepers dropping the Gd given freedoms in favor of government control of people.

Is there nothing MJ can’t do? It’s the pharmacological equivalent of the Ronco Veg-o-Matic!

Personally, I don’t give a crap what people use, as long as they take personal responsibility for it. According to folks like you, that should be no problem since it is the veritable fountain of youth.

That’s the standard Pothead’s argument.

Marijuana is a plant, called a botanical product by scientists.

All plant materials contain mold and yeast, which are naturally occurring in air and soil.

YOU MEAN LIKE THIS?

http://www.cbsnews.com/news/two-denver-deaths-tied-to-recreational-marijuana-use/

In April of, 2014, three months after Colorado voters legalized marijuana for recreational use in January 1, 2014,

A Denver man, Richard Kirk, 47, is accused of killing his wife, Kristine Kirk, 44, on Monday while she was on the phone with a 911 dispatcher.

“Kristine Kirk told the dispatcher her husband had ingested marijuana candy and was hallucinating…She pleaded with dispatchers to hurry and send officers because her husband had asked her to get a gun and shoot him...Richard Kirk could be heard in the background of the 911 call talking about the candy he bought from a pot dispensary earlier that night, and surveillance footage from the shop captured the transaction.”

Kirk shot his wife in the head at point blank range during the recorded 9-11 call.

Marijuana advocates worried about bad publicity for their agenda if Kirk used an “under the influence of marijuana” defense for murdering his wife. They heaved a sigh of relief when he took a plea bargain, avoiding a public trial.

“Of course no discussion of marijuana would be complete without mention of Ricky Gates, the poster boy for marijuana,”

Hello, Marvin. Hope you’ve been well.

Nice to see ya posting a link to that same old story again. Sorry to read you posting the same falsehood again. There is no “poster boy” for cannabis.

Ok, all done, Marvin. Hope you have a nice rest of the day. Peace :)

“Push you favorite intoxicant all you want but it is not the benign substance some think it is”

Cannabis is like anything else. Too much of anything is bad for us.

That said, after taking big pharma anti-depressants & anti-anxiety meds for 20+ years with diminishing results life is much better since I started using cannabis in 2015 as medicine. I went from 5+ prescription medicines to 1 since then & what I take now is for my thyroid.
