The newer generation is obsessed with unattractive actors who can’t act...Stewart is sort of the poster child.

This must be why I turned out so bad, I played with toy guns too much as a kid. Now it all makes sense.

Freeper DAC21: “We must shatter the notion the Girls playing around in bed with other Girls is cool” Ms Stewart would know all about that.

Oh, me too. I played with loads of guns as a kid.
I also pointed guns at my sister and friends. But my dad kept every gun locked up all the time, without exception. I keep one on my hip throughout the day.

I won't flame you. But I don't necessarily agree with you. Let the kid have a toy bang bang, and watch mom or dad working a real bang bang. Kids imitate. It's a genuine learning technique. I'd rather a child start with a cap gun and graduate to BB guns and then 22's. But that's what makes America great. We can have that diversity and see what works best. I absolutely played with cap guns with my brothers and sisters -- learning what is a toy and what is not was part of growing up.

In another era. Today the cops are too trigger happy and disrespectful of 2A.
To: reardensteel
If that is so, then we need better cops, not fewer guns. I thought it strange when cap guns gained their orange tips. But I accepted it. That should be all the concession required of children and their toys.

I actually agree with the notion of not playing with toy guns.
I have two sons and they learned to shoot a bow and arrow and a BB gun in Cub Scouts and YMCA summer camp.
In Boy Scouts, they learned how to shoot a .22, shotgun and black powder rifle.
When each turned 12, I bought them a Browning .22 semi-auto with a scope. We kept their guns in our gun safe, along with my arsenal. Ammo was kept in a separate safe.
We took them to the Buckhorn gun club to shoot on a regular basis. I always supervised them like a range master. They knew that they could always ask and schedule an outing at the range and take a (trained) friend.
My two Eagle Scout sons are very good marksmen, award-winning archers, and never owned or played with toy guns.

Let the kid have a toy bang bang, and watch mom or dad working a real bang bang.
This is what my wife's cousin, an avid hunter did. When his kids were around 4, he would let them handle one of his empty rifles to satisfy their curiosity, while making it clear to them that Daddy's guns are not the same as their toy guns. As they got older he taught them how to shoot as well as how to carefully handle firearms.

But disection of living unborn babies is perfectly cool.
It’s toy guns that are the real danger.

Well, playing with REAL guns is much cooler, but when you’re just a little kid, toys will do for a while.

This is news? They have been doing this anti-toy gun theme since 1968 when Bobby Kennedy was murdered!
