“A doctor friend thinks his mind may have been damaged by the torture he received in the Hanoi Hilton.”

Could be.

Also, crashing a jet fighter plane in a rice paddy and then getting beat up by angry locals doesn’t help the brain pan to protect the brain.

However, McCain has a history or weird behavior from the Naval academy, to crashing planes trying to be a pilot and weird behavior after Nam.

I have 3 friends, who were either before, in or after McCain’s Naval Academy class. They knew McCain in the academy and have followed his erratic behavior since then.

All 3 refused to support McCain, when he supposedly ran for president. Then, they would not say anything.

Now, they say, if not for his father, an Admiral, McCain was not smart enough to get into the academy nor stay there. One of these friends said that any other Navy Pilot would have been washed out of flight school with his poor skills.

All 3 condemned his post Nam behavior as an out of control drunk.

His behavior confirms that he is severly brain damaged.

Those of us, who seen loved ones and friends suffer from senility or alzheimer’s, recognize the symptons, he shows.

If he was a conservative republican instead of a paid tool for the rats, the mediots would be publishing tons of data to remove him as a senator.
