You are wrong about “he should have just joined the priesthood.” [is it OK to just say, ‘maybe he should have become a teacher?’]
The vetting of seminarian candidates is tougher than ever - especially since the scandals, mostly of a homosexual nature which mostly occurred 20-40 years ago, have seen daylight in the past 20 years. Of course this is not being reported by the media because they are sympathetic to gays - unless they are priests!!!!!!!! So the media continues to report the problem as pedophilia when it is primarily homosexual.
Also - has the American Psychiatric Association taken any criticism or law suits over it’s erroneous advice to the bishops which was that the problem could be resolved with counseling and enrollment in their programs?? After the bishops spent literally millions of dollars to the APA with no success, they are still the targets of money-hungry lawyers and new, late, questionable claims by men whose so-called offenders have been in their graves for 20-30 years.
This type of case would be most noticeable in different treatment of Muslims and others if the courts supported this freak. If Muslims can do something, we all can - and they would NEVER keep this guy on (or bake a wedding cake for queers “playing family”)...
