An important and expensive incentive for legal action involving the Department of Justice will come to an abrupt end. The DoJ announced this morning that it would end the practice of crafting settlements to lawsuits that resulted in significant financial awards to activists groups, a practice that had flourished in Barack Obamas administration. A memo from Attorney General Jeff Sessions rejects this policy, saying any punitive and restorative damages collected in lawsuits should go to American taxpayers:

This is huge. The Obama administration was diverting funds meant for the American people to activist groups—totally illegal. When is someone going to pay for these crimes?

This practice precedes Obama, he just made it into an art form...
It’s not illegal or a crime until the craven, spineless, worms in congress pass legislation making it illegal...
No...nobody going to prison...

People need to begin filing qui tam suits in federal court to demand return of this money from the leftwing groups.
To: DFG
It is also a way to enact lasting law without any legislation or going through the rule making process.
Just sue, reach a settlement with the person sued, then have a judge approve of the “settlement” with a rule that binds the federal government.
Very, very hard to reverse. It is rampant in the rules for federal employees hiring and firing.

Everyone is/was jumping on Jeff Sessions for not indicting Hillary, not prosecuting this or that person - including me.
I think when he arrived at the DOJ he found a department
so screwed up, so twisted and perverted by
Obama and his Democrats over the last eight years
that he has his hands full just straightening it out and
making it work for the American People again.
I believe we should just give him a little more time to
figure out what's going at the DOJ and get it working
properly with people he can trust.

this is good but we need to make it illegal for the next administration and not a policy decision of the current administration.
