This lie keeps popping up. Flynn was removed because the intel community hated him and wanted someone like McMaster who would continue the same policies.
Flynn did not discuss lifting Russian sanctions. The topic came up and he said that will need to be discussed in the future, not today, and then he moved on.
He was honest with GOPe Pence when he told him the sanctions were not discussed.
Its petty BS to say sanctions were “discussed” by his telling the Russian ambassador, “I cannot discuss that today”. Pence was not completely clean here. I think he wanted that McMaster neocon wing to move in to the NSC and the Flynn wing out. Flynn was very anti Islam, against us removing Assad, and against a new Russian cold war. That’s why he was fired.
I can tell the left is sorely disappointed in this — because none of the usual sources has made this a trending Facebook thing.
CNN is treating this as "COMEY'S BOMBSHELL" (in massive font on their homepage).
They believe this is Trumps Watergate tapes equivalent.

Even if Trump asked Comey to drop Flynn, and perhaps because he isn’t a Yale Lawyer and Career Criminal errrr.... I mean career politician, Trump didn’t know not to ask, and perhaps not. But this is how the conversations should have gone and if it didn’t, I blame Comey.
Trump: “Flynn is a good guy. This isn’t fair. Can you drop the investigation?:
Comey: “No I can’t do that. Period! We investigate cases based on the merits of the case. You are out of bound to ask.
End of story.
If Comey didn’t definitively rebuff Trumps request, he has no leg to stand on. If Trump ignored a definitive denials and persisted, then Trump has a problem, particularly if Comey outlined for him the nature of the conflicting interests.
Didn’t someone say there was a leaked transcript of the conversation?

There is no provision in the Constitution granting to the FBI an independent status.
This is part of the problem here. The Constitution makes the President responsible for seeing to the execution of our laws. He does this through subordinate agencies that report to him.
Comey seems to think the FBI is a permanent government Deep State institution independent from the presidential administration.
When Obama came into office and immediately dismissed the case of poll intimidation against the New Black Panthers, was that obstruction of justice in Comey’s view?
I thought he said he kept memos on everything, now nothing on Obama or clinton, what an fing liar.

Comey himself was a political hack who used the power of his government office to get Hillary off the hook for numerous obvious crimes!
We need a serious, hard-nosed investigation into Comey, McCabe, Lynch, Yates and anyone else who may have made decisions into how to investigate Hillary and whether to let her off the hook, as to whether this was obstruction of justice and official corruption.
