The Vanishing American Adult, Sen. Ben Sasse's slick new paean to hard work and old-fashioned middle-class American family values, is the most boring book I've ever read.
The Nebraska Republican is, if not absolutely insufferable, the least sufferable person in the Senate. (Keep in mind that this is a body that has historically welcomed the energies of Benjamin "Pitchfork" Tillman, in which creatures like Chuck Schumer and Ted Cruz are today permitted not only to contribute but to flourish.) Sasse is one of those "intellectual" conservatives for whom the answer to whether banks should be allowed to increase overdraft fees is to be found in the pages of Tocqueville.

A picture of Ben Sasse is in the dictionary next to the word, “Pecksniffian.”
Sasse....useless piece of Nebraska trash
When Bill Maher is using the N word on his show, Ben Sasse should not be laughing out loud. Old Ben failed an easy test. Shame on him.
Any time you see the headline “bipartisan group of Senators opposes President Trump on X,” it’s always McCain, Graham or Sasse.
Sasse the Ass is my senator and I couldn’t agree more. He lied about his views and politics to be elected. Now, he’s trying to pick up where our former POS senator UpChuck Hagel left off; representing the democrats who did not vote for him.
Anyone with any sense would have stopped and said.....oh my! Did you really just say that Bill?!?!
Point out their hypocrisy in public, on the air, while you have the chance. Lol
Twice two-faced! What a schmuck!!
Sasse has been a real disappointment.
Unfortunately, I contributed to Sen. sASS’s campaign - and I’m from Pennsylvania. The guy truly is a sanctimonious and insufferable ass, with all the meaning that description conveys.
And by the way, I’m from Pennsylvania; my apologies to all Nebraskans.
I can’t wait until we can primary his pathetic, worthless a$$.
Sasse surpasses even Ted Cruz when it comes to political dishonesty. He’s up to his neck in amnesty/globalist scum. Check out this article, for example:
http://dailycaller.com/2014/05/12/ben-sasses-amnesty-double-dealing/
At least Ted Cruz has the decency to weave a tangled web of “sorta true” statements where he re-defines amnesty, re-defines important words and events, and then uses this re-defined word years later to mislead about his positions. Well, until he lies outright about his position on legalization.
But Sasse claims he supports the border wall and Trump style immigration policies, but is being funded by people who have declared that they only support people who support “complete amnesty.”
Sasse is just a globalist snake. He says whatever it takes to get elected, and once in power, he works for globalist interests. That means he’ll always vote “Conservative” when it is sure to fail, but undermine his party leadership when his donors demand it.
He appears to be genetically bred in the category of a Lindsey Graham in that he will do anything to get camera time.
I know that Nebraska voters have buyer’s remorse. I listened to Sasse the Ass in the past and was inspired by his words and knowledge only to realize he’s reading a script to get elected. So I don’t blame Nebraska voters.
This guy’s hatreds are on display.
Sasse has one of the best voting records in the Senate. (So does Cruz, whom the author decides to sideswipe gratuitously.) Once again, we’ve devolved into the unfortunate conservative habit of eating our own. We need to stop that right now. The only people who gain from it are the “progressives.”
From what I’ve heard about Senator Sasse’s book, it sounds good.
Yes, obviously not up to your elitist standards of humanity.
How did he lie? Check his voting record. It’s excellent.
As a Nebraskan: It was him or a Democrat, so we will just suffer through. Could be worse, right?
Do I need to post the actual record on amnesty again?
Trump was for it as recently as the beginning of teh campaign. Cruz fought it and was a critical force in stopping it. Ask Attorney General Sessions about Ted Cruz’s contributions.
More CDS.
Cruz supported legalization and openly stated such. He opposed "amnesty" which he defined as including citizenship, but otherwise he wanted a system where illegals could "come out of the shadows." You are simply willfully ignorant on the subject, hence your delusion about "posting the actual record again," as if you've ever really done so.
