Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Culture and Information has announced it has shut down Al Jazeera Media Network’s bureau in Riyadh and has revoked its operational license.

“The move comes after Al Jazeera promoted the plots of terrorist groups, supported the Houthi militias in Yemen, and tried to break internal ranks with Saudi Arabia by and harming its sovereignty,” a statement on Saudi Press Agency read.

Earlier in the day, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Libya, Yemen, Maldives and Mauritius all declared they have severed ties with Qatar over the latter’s recent policies on extremism and terrorist financing.

Thank you, President Trump! Look what you can accomplish when you don’t bow down, and you make them understand how serious you are.

Who owns Al Jazeera?

That’s a fairly simple question. The network is owned by the Qatari government, which is run by the Al Thani family. The Al Thani family are the hereditary royal family that rules Qatar, making it a neat little crony capitalist tie-in.

Qatar’s major source of income? The export of natural gas, of which they are the world’s largest producer.

After 9/11 the media created this myth about Wahhabism, trying to say that Islam is okay its just that Wahhabism thats bad. Except Wahhabism does not exist. There is not one single person on planet earth who claims to believe in it. So with the Wahhabi myth and the fact that most of the 9/11 hijackers were Saudi that countries reputation was ruined with the general public.

Here’s the problem, QATAR is the worst of the bunch. They donate the most money to muslim terrorist groups. They support the Muslim Brotherhood the most. They are the worst of the oil rich countries at promoting fundamentalist islam. But the general public is fixated on Saudi Arabia.

I wonder what will happen to Qatar hosting the World Cup?

If they have to move it, it’s very likely it would move to the US.

Didn’t Al Gore see something to Al Jazeera some time ago? A failed broadcast entity that he had a major interest in?

It’s pretty obvious that behind the scenes after the public smiles and sword dancing that Trump read the Saudi’s the riot act and set out his demands for action in no uncertain terms.

The Saudi’s know that the U.S. doesn’t need a drop of their oil and as a result their leverage over Trump is zilch. We now have a President who’s clearly holding all the cards and knows how to play them. Such a refreshing change.

Yes, Al Jazeera paid big money (about a half BILLION dollars) for Al Gore’s worthless cable TV news network (he tried to position it to the left of CNN, and there wasn’t any room there), ran it a few months and then shut it down. (Gore’s co-owner was Joel Hyatt, founder of the Hyatt legal clinics, and Senator Metzenbaum’s son-in-law).

Trump’s policy is to have regional powers take leadership roles, rather than America spending lives and fortunes on wars and getting nothing in return.
