Trey Gowdy, who apparently had some additional insight into this crap, opened the door when he asked Brennan, “Are you aware of any US ambassadors requesting the unmasking of Americans” or words to that effect. Brennan squirmed quite a bit and gave a very non-committal, Clintonesque kind of answer. There is no reason whatsoever for Power, the US Ambassador to the United Nations and a close ally of Hillary’s to request the unmasking of anyone.
I have a lot of regard for Devin Nunes. I had a couple of beers with him at the Capitol Hill Republican Club several weeks ago. He’s working very hard behind the scenes to bring this issue to light without appearing to be too partisan, despite the opposition and outright lies of Adam Schiff, Ranking Minority Member on the HPSCI.
