Striking North Korea would require a particularly long and complicated air campaign, not to mention some potential ground operations.Good Lord! Three Carrier Battle Groups is an awesome force. But unless they are going to use nuclear weapons they can only conduct air strikes and blockade operations. Those don't win wars. They only make winning possible.
Look for the Amphibious Ready Groups and the heavy punch of the Army's amphibious forces. That will indicate the extent of our intentions.

"Look for the Amphibious Ready Groups and the heavy punch of the Army's amphibious forces. " Might those (already) be contained within the South Korean military?

Army’s amphibious forces? I think you mean mother green and her fighting US Marines

I agree with your logic, a litmus test of US intentions for a strike leading to renewed hostilities would be the mobilization of US ground forces from the US mainland to the Korean theater. I have not heard of any movement of soldiers or marine units.
