I am fluent in French as having gone to school there and visited multiple times. Americans really do know have a clue as to what it is like to live in France, day to day. The taxes alone will shock them. And you better learn French. And a million other things that our self-appointed “betters” will not like once they get there. Oh and the food is good and the medical care is “free” and the architecture is historic. Just try being in the wrong neighborhood in Paris after dark and see what happens.
